winamp playlist to minidisc recorder? possible or what?!?

hey minidisc & computer buffs,

i'm trying to transfer a winamp playlist to record down onto my MD8 minidisc recorder. how do i do this? i have the audigy drive RCA OUTs from the computer to RCA in on the minidisc recorder..so the levels in the minidisc should be bumping..but i'm not seeing anything on the display or anything in the headphones. the music comes through my computer speakers but it's not coming through into the minidisc for some reason. what be the deal here?!?!?
any help would be greatly appreciated.

first verify you're getting sound from the RCA's (hook them up to something else). If you are getting sound then something with the MD8 is wrong (probably some setting). It's been a while since I used an MD8, though.

I would suggest going RCA ---> 2 1/4" headphone connectors into the inputs.
