How do you guys like the D8B?

Sometime within the next year or so I'm going to get a digital mixer to be a front end for my Nuendo based DAW. What are your thoughts on the D8B? They've recently come down in price and seem like good mixers.

They're very good (I have 2 of them) and are particularly good as a DAW front end now that they have a HUI layer in the new (5.0) O.S.

I have to use it at school and I'm very satisfied with it. Maybe it's 12 preamps are a bit limiting, but the automation facilities and especially the EQ is really handy.

i like using the D8B with nuendo.... but there are some other consoles out that cost less that can do everything the D8 can.. but the D8 is solid..great console, very clean sound also

Thumbs down

Sony DMX R-100
Yamaha O2R/96
Yamaha DM2000

hell, even a Tascam DM24 would be preferred... I don't like the D8b's pre-amps and the faders are a tad sluggish...

Thanks for the input guys! I'm not overly worried about the mic pres because I'll have outboard ones that I'll use for the most part. I'll be using it with Nuendo, like c9, so I'm glad it works ok with that program. I'll also take a look at the other mixers Speedemon listed too.
