using ACID w/ fruity loops & cool edit?

i'm a new ACID user, just got it. have messed around with fruity loops in the past and really like it too -- does it make sense to use both of these together & are they compatible (i'm trying to decide whether to buy FL, right now i just have the demo)?

eg, could you create loops from the drum machines in FL and then bring them into acid?

and secondarily, could you bring an ACID creation into Cool Edit Pro in order to record live instruments, vocals, whatever on top of an ACID song?

all these things seem great, just trying to get my head around how they can all work together!

Location: spinsta1 does not rest upon "it" an essential condition of the subject, a condition that has been detached from the 'they'; "it" is rather an existentiell modification of the 'they', of the 'they' as an essential existentiale.

The answer to all of your questions is, yes.

BTW........ you could even use FLP in Acid 4.0 as a VST.

new acid user here too, and I just bought Fruity Loops..

I am doing exactly what you described here.. making little loops in fruity and bringing them into Acid.. If I can use it, it is easy to use.. FL pretty much comes setup for that by default.. It saves the loops as 'acidized' if the option is checked.. you get a choice when you go to save it.. you can change the way it is saved..

I know nothing about CEP.. I would like to hear SPINSTERWUN's answer on how you use them together at the same time.. I just do the fruity stuff, and then bring the wave into acid after..

A VSTi is a program with-in a program. Acid 4.0 can use VSTis. Earlier versions cannot. You would use FL as a VSTi if you were to want to run it at the same time as you were running acid. If you are happy with FL for loop creation you probably would want to do that. It's just another option.

BTW, FL will also run VSTs(effects) and VSTis as well as DXs and DXis.

Check into this.
