Talking

Yo Charley B.:]

Before the Bear jumps in, forget the Alesis monitors -- you'll dig the Yorks.

I use the passive Yorks and they work fine for me. I've been contemplating getting a set of active Yorks -- my vendor is right here in town who sells from his home and is a Yorkville dealer.

If you could do a "listen" test, I'll bet you pick the Yorks.

I agree with the Hornet('s nest!) I have trouble taking any Alesis monitor too seriously!

BUT... what works for us may not work for you -- you should really try both and judge for yourself....

YSMs!!!

I used to have event 20/20 and now I recently purchased Yorkville YSMP1s and they make the Events sound like ASS! They are really true and VERY dynamic, and not coloring like the events were. I paid 430.00 for the POWERED Yorkies.

Would you say that a pair of unpowered yorkville's with a good power amp would sound just as good and accurate as the Active Yorkvilles?
