troubles using acid and external sequencer

hi,
i have a 400 pentium ,128mb ram,gadget labs sound card,and i use acid with an external sequencer for midi.
the problem is that i have sometimes synchronisation problems.
the thing is that when i restart my pc i seem to have less problems.
can u give me an idea of what my problem is?
