It's one of the most versatile clearest dynamic mics you will ever get.

One of the best mics I've got, so yeah, I'd definatly recommend it.

Thumbs up

Love mine. Only used it for vox so far (that wasn't why I bought it), but great detail, clarity, and range for a dynamic!

That's one I've got to use many times but never owned and lately been wanting to try on guitar amps. It has a natural tilt toward the highs a-la a 57 but with a broader less sharp peak.
(In theory) that trait alone might make it more gererally versitale. I've been switching between a 57 and C-3000 for similar reasons.

jbenishek,

Go look at as many studio's as you can find. It's almost 100% guaranteed that they are going to have at least one of these mics, but more than likely 3 or more.

In this forum, I think dynamic mics in general, other than the 57, get ingnored sometimes because of all the cool and new budget condesers out there. Get yourself a 421. . . you won't regret it. It is basically as versatil as an Sm57, and geared even better in terms of repruduction of low frequencies.
