Questions about a Peavey Unity 2000 mixer.

Hey, I have the above said mixer and was wondering if I could put a mic in the low z inputs and use the high z inputs as inserts to a recording sound card. This will make it so I don't have to buy a sound card with pre's on it already. Thanks alot.

But why not take a feed from the monitor outs................it MAY work.
