After i get my 2nd computer, I am going to dedicate it to HD recording. I hope to get a digital board to go with it. This means motu with analog ins and digital outs. I want a program with decent midi capabilities and that can record and playback a good amount of tracks. Which of these would suit my needs-cubase or vegas pro. Keep in mind i may only use it to edit, fly choruses, and midi control and looping. And what can either do with automating effects?? thanks mucho

If you need the MIDI capabilities, go Cubase, if you need quick editing and multi-tracking functions, go Vegas.
Although, I did speak with a Tech at Sonic Foundry, and he said that there are some compatibility issues with Vegas and the Motu drivers. Of course, this was a couple of months back, things might be updated? .02 rdpete |
