Question Sound module on Ebay? Maybe a Viscount?

First I'd like to say thanks for all the help so far - I'm slowly building the "home job" recording room. (Yes, the Audigy 2 is being replaced with a WaMi Rack 192L as soon as it gets here.) I liked the FATAR action of the studiologic, so I went with that.
Anyway, I thought I might like to play it without my computer on sometimes, so I need a MIDI "box" to plug into. I found some on Ebay, and wanted your opinion: Which ones are good for the money? I don't need anything grand, because all the recording I will do through the WaMiRack -- this box is for just plinking, or when I don't want to mess with the computer. I noticed not very many had 3.5" disk drives anymore - are those out?

I found this one for a steal: Viscount MF-01 - it has 393 sounds, 10 drum kits, and a disk drive to play samples. Is it any good?

Thanks,
Jed

Not familiar with that model, but Oberhiem keyboards are made by Viscount.

I found this link which is a pretty good report on the piece...says you can use it as a sysex data filer. That feature might make it pretty useful in itself if the price is right.

Ok, thanks for the info. We'll see if it's any good, as I just picked it up on Ebay for $51...
Thanks,
Jed
