MD4 trade-in

I'm looking to trade in my old Yamaha MD4 unit at my local music store towards the purchase of some newer goodies. It's pretty much in brand new condition (unfortunately didn't get much time to use it) complete with the original box and manual (with front page slightly doodled on by 3-yr-old daughter ). Anybody have any clue what is a fair price to fetch for something like this? It was about $600 when I bought it, but that was a few years ago, and I searched online to see if I could find any for sale, but I couldn't.

Sadly, that appears to be maybe double what you're really likely to get for it. I have the Sony 4-track version, and have continued to watched prices drop.

Why, oh why, didn't this format succeed? (That's mostly rhetorical)
