Question

Hey I am trying to set up a home studio with cubase and I was wondering what the best mixer is? I am a beginer so I would like to get something that will be easy to use.

Cool

Don't think the best... think what will work for less.......
Mackie has a great reputation so you might want to check them out.... I think the cheap ones start around $200 or $300 but... the best ones are around $2000 and up!

In my studio I use cubase and my choice for a mixer was a Mackie 1604 vlz . I like it so far. SJ

personally, if you are recording digital i would stick with a digital mixer the yamaha O1V is a good choice if you can afford it retail is $1999 but you can pick one up for about $1499. i like this mixer because it has its own on board effects. most people record dry and then add FX but if that bogs your computer down the FX sections on the mixer will help you out plus you can get some really intersting stero sounds
