the wife bless her heart, bought me a mackie 1604vlz for xmas. Have been recording direct into my aark 24 (8ins&8outs) with good results. Now I want to run direct into the mackie and then on to the aark.How can I achieve this and will I have 8 track seperation on the board as well as in cubase vst24. Can you run with this or do you need more info? Studio junkie needs a fix!!!!

I'll take a stab at what I think you're asking. If you go to page 6 of the manual, you'll see a "hook-up" diagram for a typical 8 track studio. You can do the same thing substituting your Aark for the multi-tracker. They go into a little more detail as to why you'd want to do it this way on page 12 ("Split Monitoring"). Good luck!
