Help! Cubase to Yamaha PSR

Can't get Yamaha PSR-540 keyboard to playback MIDI from Cubase VST on Macintosh. Cubase receives & records MIDI signal no problem, but despite the transport bar out LED showing signal, I get no sound; hence a keyboard misconfiguration. Yet I've tried every setup on the keyboard with no result.

It's probably something obvious, but I'm stuck! Thanks - GA

K.... check the keyboard and see if GM mode is on, look for keyboard modes(normal, solo, out1, etc.) Since you've tried all of the keys setup then check inside VST for you channal outputs. Good Luck..... it took me a month to figure out my ALesis...
