What is an ASIO driver.I have installed cubase vst3.5 and have a lousy soundcard called avance logic 120.I can't record or playback audio with this soundcard.I will buy a better card when I can afford.Could someone kindly help me in the meanwhile.

Some sound cards support ASIO, which is a driver that allows low latency within Cubase. I doubt that your sound card supports this. So, in order to get your soundcard to work, try going to the start>programs>steinberg>MME setup as well as the multimedia setup and adjusting settings in there. Within Cubase, try setting your card to direct x ASIO under Tools/Settings.
