Exclamation Alesis QS6 Keyboard

I recently acquired a Alesis QS6 keyboard off ebay, and it works fine (as soon as I figure out how to use all the effects and such) However, half the display screen is really light, to the point where I really have to concentrate to read it, which would not be ideal in a live setting. If anyone can offer some advice on what I can do about it, or just general information about the keyboard, that's be helpful.
Thanks.

Talking

Yo Punky:

I once had an Alesis Q-type keyboard. I hated its LCD screen. Too small and casting one's eyes sideways would blur the view. Not good for live performing if you must see the LCD.

I sold my Alesis and got a Korg Stage Piano. It's a nice keyboard but not a synthesizer--I have the DX7 for my synth.

Suggest you start evaluating other work stations and trying to get your digits on them before buying, even if you have to drive to Indiana and visit Sweetwater.

I never thought the Alesis was a quality keyboard.

The Korg SP has 88 keys and I use it when a client needs 88 keys as opposed to my synth, which I don't let too many people use.

Suggest you look at Roland, Korg, etc. And, try before you buy.
