copyright form question

whats up

i want to copyright some intrumental jazz compositions i recorded to cd and i wasnt sure which form to use(PA or SR).Also ,can i put several songs on one cd and subit it with one copyright form

Form SR is used when you want to copyright the cd against unauthorized duplication to summarize it. I think you will need form PA, and yes you can put more than one song on the cd under one application. Read the instructions carefully and they will tell you what you need to do.

If you are the copyright owner of both the song and the sound recording of that song, you can use Copyright Form SR to register all of the elements(Sound Recording/lyric sheets/sheet music etc.) together.
By registering the song and sound recording together, you will only have to pay one filing fee instead of two.
