I want to personally thank each and everyone of you in this room for helping me in my descision to buy this little jewel of a machine (mr-8) I've found it to be much easier than my old analog to work with. has fostex come up with a list of confirmed cf cards in the 512mb range yet?

First of all, let me welcome you to the forum. Secondly, that 512 thing is a little illusive. Last time I checked, Fostex didn't have any confirmed 512 cards. There is a thread here ("user experiences") which is users basically wingin it on their own and reporting the results. It is a thread I have been watching with great interest.
