How do i connect my mixer to the BOSS BR1180?

i have an old TEAC Model 3 Analog mixer in great shape that i want to use with the the BR1180. how do i connect them and what is the best way to use the mixer? i would like to run a mic through the mixer then the sound from the mixer to the 8 track. i just like the sound the mixer gives over the kind of hollow sound the BR1180 gives. i'm sure its possible just not sure how. any help would be greatly appreciated!
