Stereo playback in cubase

Hello!
My problem is that I don't have my cubase playing stereo, but it records in stereo mode. The recorded tracks in cubase are in stereo because in my wave editor {cooledit} the waves are in stereo.
What can I do?

Do you have the two tracks panned hard left and right in the monitor view? Also, when you select the track, on left side of the screen, there is a red button. Does it say Mono or Stereo?

Hello again!
The stereo track have the two channels in the middle pan position.
The red button is in stereo mode.
I think the problem is in the input audio options.

If they are both panned to the center, it is not going to sound stereo... move the slider above each channel to left and to right. Not a problem with inputs.
