Okay. So I have the kit set up inside an unbroken chalk circle and I've placed candles made from babyfat at each of the cardinal points but I'm having no luck. I think I may be doing the incantations wrong. So, how many times do you say "Beer" during the ceremony? And what is the correct age of virgin to sacrifice?
Seriously, though, is there any way to get a drummer these days without having to pay some guy £400 (dear God, I hope I'm exaggerating) per hour session fees?

Dude, check out some Drum Shops. Many have places to post ads. Lots of drummers may do it for free to build up credibility.

Did I mention I live in Leicester, England? There are about 1.5 bands to every drummer in this city. And they DON'T moonlight (the drummers. Not the bands). And of course I've tried advertising. I've advertised in various places (rehearsal rooms, music shops, record shops, local listings mags) for going on ten years and had no joy whatsoever. Do I have to like Heavy Blues/Rock/Metal, or something?

Is this to me or Agent Penguin185? Sorry, I have no idea who J5 are. The only J5 I've heard of are the Jurassic 5.

Dude, he's talking about Jurassic 5. Anyway, sorry, you didn't mention you had tried drum shops. Guess my suggestion was like preaching to the choir. Anyway, sorry.

I just read an article in Modern Drummer about musicians sending files back and forth via email. For instance, you lay down your tracks, send a wav file to a drummer, he records a drum track to fit, sends you the drum wav and you mix on your system. Not as good as the interaction of musicians playing together, but might be an option for you. There's a world of drummers out there wanting to collaborate with someone.

Actually Dan Da you are absoulty correct about that. I have actually heard some material from projects like that, and with out being told what waws going on I could not tell at all.
Another thing drummers usually act like they understand the big words...it is the bass players that have no clue.

You can't be a bass player. You wouldn't have been able to read that.

Good Lord. I thought this thread had been given it's last rites!
The file swapping idea sounds interesting, but it's not one I'm technically able to take advantage of right now.
