Mesa direct?

Anyone have any experience with the Mesa rackmount direct recording amp? We're thinking about picking one up for a preproduction rig.

It totally rocks. We tried one out at the local music store. My guitar player bought one.

For live stuff, I say yes, go for it... but if you are looking for something for the studio, that is your go-to amp, then no... you need to look into a Bogner 1st. For recording, check out the Bogner. You wont be disapointed. Quite expensive though, but worth every penny.

We haven't actually recorded with it yet so I can't really say about recording results, but the thing sounds fucking awesome. It is kind of hard imagining that it would suck recorded. It's gotta sound way better than a pod. I haven't had a chance to try a bogner though.
