roland sp-808ex

can anyone here tell me about the 808ex and what they think of it as a sampler i'm not concerned about it as a recorder. i read a lot of reviews that said it was easy to use. some said that it could compete with the mpc but it just didn't have a built in drum kit. let me know what ya'll think
