Sequencing question

Hi everyone, nice forum. Anyways, I just need a sequencer for a Roland A37 controller going into laptop(compaq, 6 gig drive 776 celron)via midiman, then to Akai Z8 and onto Akai dps16 (not sure best order to hook all this up). No heavy editing, just basic. I would like to have it repeat (like the old Alesis drum machines) so I can add different parts in real time. Seems like a good program going by the small amount of post here (a good sign) and most questions are straight forward. Would this be a good sequencer for me? Any help would be appreciated.

n-Track is not a great sequencer, although it does have some MIDI features. n-Track is more specifically geared towards audio multitracking

While technically it's possible, I think your needs would be suited by a real sequencing application. Try asking in the main computer forum!
