Any sort of recording I find intriguing to read about. Any links to places on recording in say the 60s and whatnot? I grew up with the digital age but I know reel to reel, cutting tape etc. Did the bands play live, or separately? Things like that. Maybe it's the fact they used like 2/4 tracks, it's crazy. Like to do research for no real reason except I want too, later.

Many recording magazines (like Mix and others) have regular features where they talk about specific historic recording sessions. They discuss gear and techniques, anecdotes about the personalities, and often have photgraphs from the original sessions, track sheets, etc.
