zoom gfx8

hi all, jsut went down to my local music store and they had one of the zoom gfx8 units there. it has the v.a.m.s. modeling. man this thing was light years ahead of the 606 i have. and it offers alot more options than my j-sation. i pluged into it because my friend who works there is a fellow metal head and asked me what are you playing through now that little 606 i sold you, i said i use the 606 for playing in my band and i use my j-station for recording. he said the gfx8 comes with some of the hottest metal tones you can get and he had already tweaked this one with the pc librarian. anyway to make a long story short i bought it and it sounds better than anything ive heard. the cabinet simulator has a depth adjustment that realy truly emulates depth of the cabinet and this is such a awesome feature for metal fans. the presets on it suck like on all effects processors but the stuff you can make is unlimited. and it doesnt have that overprocessed digital sound like the 606 has. as soon as i get some time off work ill record somthing so you guys can hear this screaming machine. anyway rock on . tim pate ( god bless you all)
