Question Newbie needs help!

I recently purchased a VS880 and took the small leap from analog 4-track to digital (man, am I BEHIND the times, huh).

I have a lot to learn, and I won't ask for it all here now...

But, I do have one quick question for the "brain trust" of this forum. It involves the connection of an external drive.

My VS880 has only the internal drive. I can see a place on the front panel where an internal drive can be connected, but I also read that I can connect any SCSI drive to the unit. I checked Ebay and found several external 250MB Zip drives for as little as $25. Is this the way to go? I'm not going to have a lot to back up - I'm a light recorder, but I would like some way of archiving what I record.

Any suggestions? How simple is it to hook up an external ZIP?

Thanks, and I look forward to a day when I can actually ANSWER someone's question instead of bugging you all for answers!
