Definitely Red Sea Survivor...Sounds like a band, but people coming to see a band have no right to be pissed if they find that you are the survivor.

i can't answer this without knowing what you want the music to do to the listeners, and the reasons for choosing each name.

after reading the other post, i would tend to head toward red sea survivor as well, because glassjaw is quite a big name in emoish stuff, and because glasshouse sounds almost too obvious in emo. i might feel more toward one of the other names if i had more context about how you decided on each. just so you know, i would pick the one that made the strongest emotional association, this being an emo project.

I know there used to be a band called glasshouse around here a few years back.

BTW, be sure and check this with the UBL and the internet band name registry to make sure that someone else is not already using them...If not, register the name.

Lightbulb I like

Soltero, because it sounds cool, seems original, and should be a good way to pick up Spanish Speaking chicks!

Well, all but two of the names I've already forgotten. I don't like Red Sea Survivor.. sounds like either a TV show or a Canadian Jewish rock band in spandex. "I am influenced by Red Sea Survivor".. sorry, just doesnt work for me..

Soltero, however, has a very unique sound to it and it feels good saying it..

Soltero is my vote.

It all depends on what type of band you're naming-

(Don't listen to Lucas from Empire Records- he says the first thing you need is a name, then you'll know what kind of band you've got...Marc with a C, sorta that psychedelic trip thing.. He's wrong)

You might want to check here to see if any of these names are already in use.

From the list you present, I'd pick Soltero. It sounds unique.

The others:

Glasshouse- A Truman Capote novel, movie and CD replication company.

White Vinyl- house siding

Sill- lowest horizontal member of framework

Transit- Part of Chicago's original name

Red Sea Survivor- Possibly the next in the, I've really had enough of this, reality TV series

But hey, it's up to you. What's in a name anyway? I certainly never, ever, would have chosen a band name called The Beatles.
