HD24 Best way?
Hey guys I own an HD24 and want to know what is the best way to record vocal tracks to it. Do I want to use a tube pre or record dry and then route the signal thru the pre amp on play back/mix down?
Any advise will help |

If you are working with a decent pre, and based upon the info
I have learned from others here, it would be wise to rec'd vocs thru pre's to the HD. Keep in mind that if you are using a board to the HD, automatically you are running the mic'd signal thru the board's pre's out to the armed track on the recorder. Also basically, the term "DRY" & "WET" are usually associated with efx processing such as adding 'verbs, pitch, chorusing etc. For a crapload of info on pre's, go and check out the "RACK" Forum here as seemingly 90% of the threads in there refer to pre-amps! |
