Question To Mod or not to Mod

So I could get a 24 fret neck for my tele but I'm gonna have to move the neck pickup down a little; buy a new scratchplate/pickguard etc. I need a new neck anyway, what do you reckon-should I go for it.

I know I can do it, it's getting round to having the time; I know that in 6 months I'll probably have got it done, LOL.

That sure will put your Tele out of comission for a long time.

The Telecaster wasn't designed to take a 24 fret neck. When you move that neck pup down, you'll be moving it out of the sweet spot and you may not be satisfied with the results. I'm assuming that since the Tele wasn't designed for 22 frets, this neck would have to be just a two fret extension.

Don't change the neck. if you really need that extra high E note, just bend to it.
