Rode NTV ????
I just started using my Rode NTV on drum over head and it was real nice. I went to Rode web site and they dont even show it anymore. Can I only buy the NTK presently/??Any one know whats up? What is the dirfference between the two??? Jim

The NTV is not around anymore unless you can pick it up on ebay.

The NTV was a higher end mic than the NTK. If memory serves me the NTV was around $2K and the NTK was around $1K retail when they first came out.
There is a recent Tap Op article which talks about buying the NTVs cheap and upgrading the tubes which is supposed to be the cat's meow in sound. So much so, everyone has swept them up on ebay and they are hard to find. The prices on them have also skyrocketed. There was a time you could find them used for around $400 but no more , they go for $1000 or more these days. I'm hoping my NTK goes up in value after it is discontinued. People are paying $1000 for used NTV's??
