just curious if anyone has any feedback on the use of the audio technica pro 25 and if it's a reputable mic for recording kick or toms. Also, any thoughts on other Audio technica mics for drums???

I've used my AT4033's as overheads many times and I love their sound.

ATM25 is FANTASTIC on kick, and usually low toms - not really the thing for high toms, though, in my opinion. I think the majority of people will agree that the ATM25 is a winner.
And, oh yeah, I like ATM25 on bass guitar cabs, too! |

check out the thread on drum mics (drums mics expanded, i think).
i've used the atpro25, and i like it better than the akg d112, which many people consider the first choice in kick mics. |
