Question

I am having a problem with one of my tracks. 7 to be exact. When I record to the track it is very low and kinda distorted. My levels are set properly and during playback they come on low with a little static. When I try to re-record with the same track I can hear the initial low recording along with the second recording mixed in. I have tried to clean the heads and there isn't a problem on any other track. I have used several tapes with the same result. I tried to play back with other recording I previously did and there is no problem with the track. Anybody have a clue?

Cool

Yo Bluzman:

Are you setting your recorded track (s) to CUE when you overdub? If not, weird things will happen to other tracks.

If this is not the problem, then, it sounds like you have a bad connection/broken wire, or some other short shorting out your circuit. This might be true, especially, if all the other tracks work fine.
