Question Mini-Disk or CD

Can anyone please tell me what the difference is between using a MINI-DISK to using a normal CD Player on Stage? I have a 6 Stacker CD Player that I use for live performances to play my backing music and am able to program up to 32 tracks at a time which allows me to do other things rather than having to program each bracket during a break, but, this can also be done with no effort as well. I have heard that using a MINI-DISK is the way to go, I have been to this website http://www.tascam.com/products/minid...mkii/index.php but did not find anything of value. Check it out for yourself and tell me if it's worth the money, or, if you can tell me more, it would also be appreciated.

Thank you.

The minidisc players tend to better withstand shocks without skipping than a CD player.
You may also want to check out the offerings from Sony and
Sharp that costs less $$.
A great resource for you would be to research www.minidisc.org

hey musicAu!

if you're doin well with a cd-player, buy no minidisc.
be careful with using md on stage if you have lots of subfrequencies from monitors, amps ... there, i once did the foh-sound for a "all music runs playback"-singer who used it on stage, and it skipped!
he really got nervous.... funny to me
