How can I get a good input level on my trusty old 244 when I plug in my Korg i30 keyboard? There's waaaaay too much signal coming from the i30, even with the trim pot right back in zero position. An in-line attenuator? What value? Maybe a direct box?
All suggestions appreciated. While I'm here, what tape is recommended to be used with this unit? |

Giner;
I would suggest a direct box to reduce the signal from your instrumnet to your line input, as that's about the only way to go. As for tape, I'd recommend Sony's "CD-it" high bias tapes, as they're relatively cheap (bought in a block) and have high quality in manufacture and fidelity. chipper |
