tascam 488

Hi All,

My 488 mark 1 (the grey one) is broke.

The tapes wont play. It will rewind and fast forward. Anyone any ideas? Anyone know where I can find out?

Yo Colin:

I used to have a 488; it's a nice box. I still have it stored away in my "bin" area.

You can get on the net and search out Tascam repairs. I know that Full Compass does repair work.

But, I'd try to find someone closer to wherever you live.

Just a thought. Repair work isn't cheap but if you like the 488 then it's worth it. If not, buy a Yamaha digital box and really have some fun.
