studio projects
hi guys... got a question for the masses...
are the studio projects line of mics a good buy? the b1 mics in general?? |

Yes, if you haven't already, do check out the Mic forum- there is a lot of discussion about the B1 and SP mics in general over there now.
To answer your question- yes, the SP line is generally highly respected as an excellent value. They are good mics for a good price. Like any mic, though, each model is better for some things than others, and there are more and more "excellent value" mics out there in a comparable price range. I've personly only used the C-1, which I greatly enjoy as a main vocal mic. It works for acoustic guitar, too, but not as well as some small condensors that I have. I can't speak for the B1, but I'm pleased with my SP mics. Take care, Chris |

thing is, i got offered 300 bucks for a b1 sp mic and a behringer ub802 mixer. juz wanna see if it was worth it before gettin it thanks |

Avoid the behringer mixer and get a nice preamp, with that 220.00 you will have left over. If it must be a mixer a small soundcraft M series is a good unit.

well the thing is im on a budget, and the local price for the ub802 is abt $130. cant find anythin else for that price here. together wit a bi mic its about $315

well the current exchange rate from us dollars=sing dollars is about double now im caught between the mixer and a midiman preamp. but i'd like the feeling of control wit my fingers.... compared to a preamp currently usin sonar xl, cool edit, fruityloops. any imput would be much appreciated and considered guys.... thanks in your own opinion is the roland MX-5 4ch stereo mixer any good?
