Question

I have been writing allot of Midi Music recently using Cubase VST on my Computer.
I have been trying to record the Midi Music onto one of my Tracks on the 488 with the idea of recording vocals and guitar etc on the remaining tracks.
The problem I have had is the deteritaion of the midi Music sound once recorded.
Does anyone have any suggestions about how to improve the transfer of sound?
