Post Question :)

Hello there. I use n-track for a while now, but I think there is a problem with my recording method.
It goes like this:
1) i click record
when recorded, i push the Solo button
2) i record new track
I unselect the Solo button on track 1
I select Solo button on track 2
3)....and so on and so on.
Is it normal that I always have to push the Solo button? Cause otherwise I get a very strange sound, that leads to ultra low quality...
Any help would be welcome (i.e. tutorials, FAQ's, ...)
thx!

I'm not sure exactly what it is you're doing....this is how I do it.

1) Hit record.

2) If I'm recording multiple takes, I mute previous takes so I don't hear them while I record new takes.

That's it

Ok

Nice tactic. But how are you able to add guitar to drums for example if you can't hear them?
When I mute I can't hear the track that has been muted.
How do you do this?
Thanx in advance

I don't mute everything, only previous takes of the current part.

For instance, lets say I put down some drum tracks. I leave all of these unmuted. Then I lay down a guitar track (simply by hitting record), but I decide that I could probably do it better....so I mute that guitar track and record another one, and repeat this process until I've got a good part or enough pretty good parts to compile into one good part.

:S

I'm sorry, but I don't get it. I mean I know what u mean, but my problem is kinda weird.
When I record drums --> no prob.
Then when I try to record guitar onto it it gives me a very bad sound. Not able to describe it. Next time when I record I'll post a sample of it...
Damn, I can't define that weird sound.
It's like, *bzing* *bzing* all over
Do u have any idea what i'm talking about?
Thanx

Um...no then...I guess I don't know what you're talking about! Maybe it would help if you could post a sample?
