Actually, I don't have a rack yet, but this is a good start!
Picture this sweet setup, either in it's own short rack, or in a tall rack, mounted just above a Reel-Reel 4-track, plus patch bay. [I could use a few more PE-40's]. Top-bottom: - MX-80 - MX-80 - PE-40 - M-1B - MH-40 - 234 ...[future] - rack [duh] - RCA patch bay - 34 or 34B reel 4-track ![]() |

Cool. That's gonna be a mighty tall setup after the 34B and the rest is added.
If you ever decide to upgrade from your PE40 let me know.

I still have two 238's. For a cassette based multitrack, it sounds damn good.

so I may opt for the half/rack, instead of the full size tall rack. A half size rack could concievably be a floor or tabletop unit, either way, for more flexibility. Of course the rack should have heavy duty locking casters.
Anyway, I have to save some bucks for the racks, future tbd. The racks are actually more expensive than any of the gear pictured, individually, haha. |
