My webspace is back up...please try again

Hi all,

I posted a link to one of my songs yesterday but my ISP went down and no-one was able to access it. Sorry about that.

Well, it's up again now and it would be great if you guys could download the song and have a listen.

The song is called "I Remember" and the address is

http://members.ozemail.com.au/~baymo/IRemember.html

As I said yesterday, it's pop/rock but lacking guitars (unfortunately). The address will only be available for a few days as I had to take my bands webpage down to upload the mp3 as I have limited webspace.

This isn't my first home recorded song but it's my first one posted on this forum.

I look forward to your comments and also checking out more of your songs and sharing ideas now that I'm registered.

Hey mixmstr, I'll check out the nowhere radio site, thanks

Baymo.

Nice tune baymo. It has a very distinct 80's pop vibe to it.I dont have any complaints.Good hook to it.Im sure the rest of the board will weigh in with a little more substance than my post.

Welcome a-board.

Kramer

[edit to add]I would like to hear a more dominant Ride Cymbal during the Chorus......is there even a ride there?

I loved the music in the 80's, and still do. This guy almost verges on having a bit too much reverb, and I am slapping myself for saying that (I'm a major reverb slut). Good tune, for sure. I'd sure like some gtrs in there too. My only complaint besides the reverb, is the singer (you?) sounds really young-ish. The synth solo was nice too, kinda a "flashdance" kinda feel.

Nice to hear a good song.

decent tune and recording.. yeah it's totally 80's.. I hear what Kramer is saying about the ride, and some guitar wouldn't hurt.. cool keyboard solo!

Thumbs up

Nice tune. I was transported back to the bars in the 80's

I think the vox needs to come out front a little more. Other than that it sounds darn good.

Welcome aboard

Yeah, I'm a bit of an 80's fan, not all of it, mainly the late '80's where there was good catchy fun rock n roll, like Firehouse, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard. Although I'm also a fan of a lot of todays bands as well. Anything that's melodic and has a hook.

And yes, that is me on vocals, and everything else. I've recorded a whole album of originals that I sell at my bands gigs and on the webpage, once I put it back up. So it's great to have your opinions on things I can fix up.

Thanks for your thoughts on the song. Keep them coming if possible, I'll be sure to share my thoughts on your songs.

nice arrangement. Good sound. some of the dynamic parts were really nice. I think the b3 wailing at about the same level all the way thru was a little flattening to the dynamics but it was really clean. A bit more punch on the vocals and it would be really out front.

Talking

Thanks for your comments so far guys. I tend to agree that the ride in the chorus could be more dominant, and as mentioned before, some rockin' guitars I think would give it more of an edge.
