Just picked up Our new CFX-20! got some ?
Our band just picked up a CFX-20, I think we got a good deal cause we only paid $750 for it. It pays to be in good with the guys at the Great House of Guitars. Anyways we also picked up a Audix Drum mix pac (never heard of this brand, not sure if they are good or not). The mic pac came with 4 mics, one for the kick and then 3 of the same mics for the rest. We put one on the snare one on the tom and one on the floor tom, and used a SM-57 to mic the remaining tom, also a SM-57 on the hi-hat and symbols. Not the best set up but it works. Ok my question is eq, is there any good starting points for eq'ing the drums. It is kind of hard to here what is coming out of the pa speakers cause the drums are right there, I guess I need to bring some head-phones to practice tonight. Any in-put would be greatly appreciated.
