Closed headphones

I'm looking for a set of closed headphones for tracking and checking mixes. I don't yet have monitors and I know you shouldn't mix on headphones, but I have to get a pair. The ones I have are broken (they sounded like shit anyway). I've been looking at the following phones:

Audio- Technica M40fs @80$
Beyer - DT770pro @160$
Beyer - DT250 @150$

I know many of you recommend the Sony MDR-7506 but these are not an option since they're impossible to get here in Sweden.

Do you have any other suggestions? I don't want them to bleed and I want to be able to check mix-details (distortion etc) and I also want them to sound good.

The beyers are way more expensive than the M40:s. Am I better of saving money for monitors? (I WILL buy a pair eventually, but it's going to take me a while to save up the money for it).

Will the beyers give me an advantage over the M40fs when checking mixes? My monitoring system for now is a cheap home-stereo system with 30W speakers. They hardly have any lower-end at all.

You can get some budget minded monitors for $150. I think the Alesis point 7's for example will cost between 100-150. Not the best of monitors, but a truer sound than headphones I think.

Thanks for the tip about the alesis, but I'm a little suspicious of their quality if they're only 100-150$. Are they active or passive?

Thing is I HAVE to get a pair of closed headphones for tracking. Right now I just have a pair of those 10$ earplugs! I've never intended to mix anything on the cans I buy. I do find it easier to notice some details on the headphones though. Distortion is one of those details. Other than that I do my mixes with my suck-ass home stereo.
