monitoring while recording w/ AP 2496

I have an Audiophile 2496 and just downloaded n-track. I cannot figure out how to monitor while i record. M-audio says to change it in your recording software (n-track). N-track tells me to change it in my soundcard software. Thanks!

In the patch panel tab of the m-Audio control panel, make sure that HW Out 1/2 is set to Monitor Mixer. In n-Track, make sure that you have specified the Audiophile as your input and output device (make sure you use the same driver model for both...that is, don't choose WDM for input and ASIO for output, that won't work).
