Song Position Pointer troubles

I have FOSTEX DMT-*vl HDR / CWpa9 / ALesis D4 and A ROLAND R5 human Ryth.Composer.....SPP works on the R5 when play from its song memory but after tranfering the Song Data to Cakewalk and removeing the R% from the loop I can only play form the beginning of the SONG. I have tied using the MMC, MTC option and tied every posible settings Option and Combination of settings between the DMT-8vl HDR and CW....nothing seems to work....COULD IT BE THE FACT I AM USING A SND Blaster lLive
