Help with my SP-8b monitors.

So I just got some new blem SP-8b monitors and I have conected them with trs 3 conductor cables it seems to be what they say you need ion the manual, and have tried it with some other speaker cables I had. Now the problem is that I am getting no tweeter. The woofer is working good, but absolutly nothing out of the tweeters. These are by amped so the only thing I could thing is that the amps are broken, but the chances of the amps in both being broken are kind of slim I would think. So that makes me think there is something wrong with the type of cables I got. Please let me know what you think on this matter. I am in crunch time on a project and currently only have cans to monitor on at this point. Thanks.

What are you sending the monitor signal from? Are you using any adapters? I can't imagine the cable really making a difference though.

Are you sure they are getting a good signal? I would also check any fuses or breakers on the speaker amps.

I had the same problem with my first pair. They were brand new. So I sent them back and got new ones.

Well after about five hours of trouble shooting, it turns out they are broken. It's either the tweeters, or the tweeter amps. M-audio was great and had UPS pick them up the next day, they didn't even ask for a warranty. They are even picking up the shipping. I am impressed. Hopefully within the next week I will be able to really see what these things sound like. Thanks for the input.
