Cool Synch Roland R5 to VF80

Hi folks, I have just received my VF80 machine and very "glad" I am (thanks Pollyanna) to have it! Now, I am not too good with manuals, and this one is by no means the best in the business. I have managed to set up the VF80 as master and R5 drum composer as slave with no problems. However, I cannot set get the R5 to work as master and VF80 as slave. Any suggestions out there? What I ultimately need to do is transfer 4 track analogue recordings on to the VF80. One track is a sync code to drive a JL Cooper PPS2 which creates MIDI song pointers for the R5, and the other tracks are audio. How can I transfer all audio tracks to the VF80 retaining sync with the R5 drum composer.

Incidentally, it seems that Through Zero Flanging is available on the VF80, which probably costs more to buy in a single unit than the cost of the VF80 - in my case £389 without CD burner.

I forgot to mention that the 4 track recording was done on a Teac A3340S, so I have access to output on each channel.
