Sonar problems

I starting experimenting with the pattern brush today in Sonar. It's a pretty neat little to for laying down some drums quickly. Here's my system specs:

ASUS A7V333 mobo
AMD Athlon 1800XP
WinXP
256MB DDR 2700 333Mhz ram
SoundBlaster Live! Platinum

Basically, when I use the pattern brush Sonar locks up and shuts down. Is anyone else experiencing this? It's still useable. I just have to save after every edit. Rather annoying, I must say even though it helps.

Let me add... that I was running to instances of Lounge Lizard (softsynth) and about 14 midi tracks and no audio. The CPU was at about 32%... I don't know if any of that will help.

Thanks,
Vice
