smoother groove clips?

My dilemna is: I've been experimenting with creating groove clips (creating say 4 or 8 measures on the Midi w/ staff view and then converting to audio). After creating the groove clip and stretching it (to make it repeat) there seems to be a very minute pause. It doesn't effect the overall rhythm is quite noticeable especially I have groove clips of the same measure length. How can I make it sound seamless as it does on the simple looping feature?

smoothing groove clips

there's a couple of factors involved:
1. if your levels and breaks on a groove clip don't match, you're going to get some deviation in what the rhythm sounds like. one way around this is to set up a repeat/loop on the number of measures you need and record until it loops. then clean up any transients so that you get a clean transition between loops.
replay the recording tyo make sure it sounds consistent before applying the grove clipping to it.
(then remove the looping from cakewalk so you can hear the transitions between the groove clips)
2. you may not need the "splicing" feature so it you're not planning on altering tempo, you can slide the splicing slider to 0. this eliminates some odd effects that happen when the audio transitions across the slice...

That usually happens to me when Snap To Grid isn't enabled. Make sure your snap settings are set to snap to a measure.
