Fostex FD-4

Just got an used FD-4 for christmas

i am new to home recording(except for the PC)

any tips would be appreciated

it came with a iomega 250MB zip drive, with scsi cable

i dont have an scsi port for my PC...would love to be able to hook up to my PC

i thought i saw a scsi to USB port cable at radio shack one time...was i imagining it?

anywho...i will be back later to describe what i am going through(dont have time right now)

i will check the rest of the forums now

Arrow Haha, it's quiet in here!

You could go the normal route, by using an RCA-to1/8" Stereo Y-cable adapter to go from the FD-4 stereo-out to the soundcard's line in. Do your basic 4-track work on the FD-4, and mix down to your computer, with the end result of putting your mixes on Cd.

That's a little oversimplified, but it's not that hard either.

2nd alternative would be to mix down to a standalone CDR/W recorder.
