Importing Banks

Hey, guys. I'm having a bit of a problem with Sonar 2.0 XL and my Yamaha W7 synthesizer. I have the Instrument Definition and all my sound banks are there. The problem is that when you edit and save a sound in the W7, you have to overwrite one of the sounds in what they call the Internal Bank. I have a whole bank of edited sounds that I want Sonar to see, but the INS only imports the factory banks. In other words, it won't let me import my edited sounds. I've been all through the manual, and I see plenty about changing patch names and such, but does anyone know how to add another bank of sounds to an INS? I'm assuming that short of doing something equal to a bulk dump, (which I can do with the Yamaha, but it has no effect) there's going to be lots of manual assigning going on. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Ed

Unhappy

...you're right, ed. It's anoying. But unfortunately, there's no other way to alter the INS file but to write it one by one. Or, edit the .INS file with notepad, but somehow it's a bit difficult. MIDI dump only works for import/exporting the parameter setting/system exclusive data via MIDI, not actually has something to do with the INS files...
